Saarschmiede GmbH has two old and new blacksmith stores that combine traditional and modern production techniques. By 2013, the original blacksmith store had 100 years of production history. After almost two years of construction, the new forge shop with a total investment of 450 million euros was opened on May 8, 2013. This scale of investment represents a single investment in Saarland and a single investment in the entire Federal Republic of Germany. It can be said that the Saarland forging plant is today the most modern free standing forging plant in the world.
The new blacksmith store in Saarland, Germany, consists of two 550-meter-long production buildings and a 550-meter-long service building. The layout of the workshop was built exactly according to the design of the production process and is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment from melting to finishing, as well as a 12,000-ton telescopic forging press. Today, around 800 qualified employees are at your service in the workshop.
